Pure Air Solutions completed prestigious Odour Control project at Dubai Deira Island STP
In June 2018 Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies (“VWST”), a subsidiary of Veolia, awarded the design and delivery of the Odour Control System for Dubai Deira Islands Sewage Treatment Works to Pure Air Solutions. The Odour Control System will treat an air emission of 40,000 m3/h with high load of H2S, Mercaptans and VOC’s. The Odour Control Systems consists of two SULPHUS Biotrickling Units as first stage (biological) treatment, followed by two ACTUS units as second stage polishing with activated carbon. These units are delivered along with Duty/Standby fans and other ancillary equipment and will be installed by Veolia under supervision of Pure Air Solutions.
The Deira Island Sewage Treatment Plant is a prestigious project, with Dubai Municipality as end-client and a diverse range of retail projects, resorts, hotels and residential developments, Deira Islands will transform Dubai’s Deira district into a world-class hub for tourism, retail and entertainment. The waterfront city will add 40km, including 21km of beach, to Dubai’s coastline and pave the way for the development of hundreds of hotels, residences and attractions. Deira Islands is expected to have a population of 250,000 and to create 80,000 jobs.
